Flame retardant & Plasticizer

Allurethane supplies a wide range of flame retardant and plasticizer that enable formulators to produce fire resistant products.

The addition of flame retardants reduces the level of flammability of polyurethane products. Given increasingly environmental and safety concerns on brominated flame retardant, Europe start to ban some grades of brominated flame retardants (BFRs), whereas phosphorus based flame retardants (PFRs), which already represented 20% of 2006 flame retardant consumption in Europe, are proposed as alternative solution to the polyurethane rigid and flexible foam manufacturers.
